An Update From Graham Baker

Following the appointment of Jimmy Dack as Graham's assistant, I took the opportunity to speak to Graham about this, as well as getting an update from him on who's been released and which players from last season's squad he was hoping to have contract talks with in the near future.

I asked Graham if he'd received many applicants for the post as his assistant and why he'd chosen Jimmy to be his number 2.  He confirmed that he'd received a number of CVs but Jimmy had always been his first choice.  He knew his background well having worked with him before, as Jimmy had been involved in coaching at the Club's Academy (and it is envisaged that, as well as working with the first team, Jimmy will also have an involvement in the Academy).  Graham also felt that Jimmy had the necessary experience that's needed, having managed clubs at both levels i.e. BSP and BS South.   Graham added that "he joins us following a successful season at Welling, where they just missed out on getting into the play-offs and he's the right type of character to have around, as well having a good coaching CV."

Graham next confirmed that the following players have been released: Danny Knowles, Colin Miles, Abdou El Kholti, Manny Williams, Liam Marum, Matt Pattison, Patrice Konan, Goma Lambu, Paolo Vernazza, Joel Ledgister, Joe Magunda, Michael Kamara, Alex Rhodes and Micah Hyde.  The loan players, Oliver Bozanic and Joe Anderson, have returned to their clubs, Reading and Fulham respectively.

Finally, Graham advised that he will be holding talks with Paul Lorraine, Tom Hutchinson, Danny Bunce, Bradley Quamina, Charlie Moone, Delano Sam-Yorke, Ross Worner, Gez Sole, Wilf Domoraud and Daniel Sintim.
