Three points, please!

The Cards host the Seagulls tomorrow (Monday) afternoon and, against a side with the worst away record in the league, will certainly be looking for nothing less than three points to boost their chances in an increasingly crowded play-off race. Don’t forget that there are reduced admission prices for this game and the return encounter against Havant and Waterlooville on New Year’s Day.

WOKING

One of the mysteries this season is why the Cards seem to find it so difficult to win at home, when their away record has been so good. The reverse at home to Bath City in the last home game was only the latest manifestation of the Kingfield jitters. Monday’s game provides a great opportunity to improve our home record – in readiness for the return encounter with Havant and Waterlooville on New Year’s Day.

Graham Baker has said that he will assess tomorrow who seems freshest after the very tiring encounter down at Havant yesterday on a heavy pitch. A start for Ricky Anane, in a game in which the Cards will be expected to make the running, must be a strong possibility. But with the home league reverse against St Albans in mind, Cards fans will be hoping Graham doesn't ring too many changes.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE

The Seagulls are once more engaged in a relegation battle, currently lying in 21st place with 16 points from 22 games. They lost 2-0 at home to Bath City yesterday. Their away record is particularly poor, with only three draws gained in 11 trips and with 11 goals scored and 27 conceded. They did, however, manage a 2-2 draw a month ago at Chelmsford City, so they are certainly not to be taken for granted.

In the away encounter back in August the Cards spurned countless chances in the away encounter back in August and ended up coming away with only a point in a 1-1 draw.

The Seagulls’ recent results have been:
