Dover Athletic v Woking
BSS Semi-final play-off, second leg
3pm on Saturday 1 May 2010

Tuesday evening’s exciting encounter will have whetted the appetite for the second leg of this play-off semi-final. Cards fans are expected to travel en masse to Crabble tomorrow to see if Graham Baker’s side can defend or build on their 2-1 lead. The Cards also have the psychological advantage of now having beaten the Whites three times this season, including a convincing 2-0 win at Dover. But the tie is finely balanced, in truth, with the first goal possibly being crucial. Whoever comes out on top will meet the winners of the Bath City/Chelmsford City tie, with the final provisionally scheduled for the evening of Thursday 6 May. If Woking get through, the game will be at either Bath or Chelmsford.

WOKING

Woking fans will be waiting on news of the fitness of Gez Sole, who went off with an injured hip on Tuesday evening, and Harry Arter, who has missed the last two games with a stomach bug. It seems likely that Arter, if fit enough to be considered, will be a candidate for the bench rather than a starting place. Matthew Wright would no doubt start if Gez Sole hasn’t recovered in time.

DOVER

Dover fans will hope that Sammy Moore and Jon Wallis, who both missed Tuesday’s game, will be back in contention. As we saw at Kingfield, though, the main danger may come again from Olly Shulz, who, though a centre back, is the Club’s second-highest scorer this season.

By coach

Leaves 11.30am; £15 members, £20 non-members; ring the Club Shop today (01483 772470) to check if places are still available.

By car

From the M25, take the M2 as far as the Whitfield roundabout. Take the fourth exit at this roundabout, down Whitfield Hill. At the bottom of the hill turn left at the roundabout and follow this road until the first set of traffic lights. At the lights turn right (180 degrees down the hill) and follow the road under the railway bridge, the ground is a little further up the road on the left.

By train
The main railway station in Dover is Dover Priory, which is approximately two miles from Crabble. The closest station to Crabble is Kearsney, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the ground.

Kearsney is the last stop before Dover Priory on the line from London Victoria (via Canterbury). Some trains on this line do not stop between Canterbury East and Dover Priory so if you are planning on getting off at Kearsney make sure that the train you are travelling on is a stopping service.

If you are travelling on the line from London Charring Cross (via Ashford) the train will not pass through Kearsney, so you will have to stop at Dover Priory, near the town centre.

If you get off at Kearsney, turn right as you leave the station, go under the railway bridge and then take the first road on the left (Lower Road). Follow Lower Road all the way along, past a pond on your right and Crabble Corn Mill on your left. At the end you will see the Cricketers pub on the other side of the road. Turn right and you should see the entrance to the ground. If you get off at Dover Priory it is probably best to get a bus or taxi to the ground as it is a long walk.
