Reserves Draw At Leatherhead Leatherhead 2 Woking 2
Suburban Football League Premier Division
Tuesday 7th September 2010

Woking Reserves came close to an early lead with only a couple of minutes on the clock, first team striker Craig Faulconbridge (pictured) finding himself unmarked in the Leatherhead penalty area but his header was caught by the keeper, who started a quick counter-attack for the home team, Aaron Gough having to make a last-ditch tackle.

With 19 minutes gone, Woking took the lead, Faulconbridge controlling a long goal kick from Matt Pegler and passing it to Carlos Guglielmetti to score on his debut.

Ola Sogbanmu had a chance to double the lead just before the half-hour mark. One-on-one with the keeper, he tried to go round him, but the ball got away from the young striker and Leatherhead's captain got back to get the tackle in.

The Tanners equalised a few minutes later, their number 9 out-jumping Alan Inns to head the ball into the back of the net from a corner.

A diving header from Leatherhead's number 10 saw them take the lead after 42 minutes.

With half-time approaching, Leatherhead had a chance to score again, but Pegler stopped a point-blank shot from 10 yards out.

4 minutes after the restart and the Cards were back on level terms, Guglielmetti crossing to Faulconbridge, who calmly controlled the ball and fired it into the net.

Young debutant Tim Taylor, who had switched positions at half-time with Anson Cousins, started brightly in the 2nd half, and got himself into space on the left, but fired over the bar.

Woking started pushing forward, looking to get back in the lead, Inns just missing the target from a Sam Hurrell free-kick, and Sogbanmu shooting wide after Faulconbridge had headed the ball over the top for him to run on to.
