Congratulations to manager Garry Hill for winning February's Blue Square Bet South "Manager of the Month" award!
In his first full month as manager of the Cards, Garry has seen his side win all six league matches, with not a single goal conceded. The month started with a narrow home win against Thurrock, followed by a win against St Albans a week later. On the road we scored four goals against Bishop's Stortford, the first time we've scored four goals or more since Weymouth at the end of last season, and the score was repeated at Lewes over the weekend to make it six wins out of six in February, with fourteen goals scored in total.
Commenting on winning the award on the BBC's
Non League Show this evening, he said:
"We've had a great run there's no doubt about that, to win six games is a tremendous achievement alone, to have six clean sheets as well it's been a tremendous effort by the players, the management staff and Steve Thompson".
You can listen to the show again at
www.bbc.co.uk...nonleague, the Awards start at 36.30 on Season 4: Episode 30.
Alan Alger, PR Manager at
Blue Square, will be at Kingfield tomorrow evening to present the award to Garry before the match against Ebbsfleet, yet another reason to come down and watch!
