Christmas Project update

There has been a tremendous response by fans, players, management and staff at Woking for this year’s Christmas Project.

£1350 has been raised (not forgetting 50 drachmas and 50 New Zealand cents) which easily beats the previous record of £1200. The first team squad contributed £200 (thanks Ricko for organising that) and The Cards Trust and a local business also donated towards the annual round of hospital and community visits. The two bucket collections among the fans added £900 which is a great effort – thank you all. Thanks also to John McNerney, John Moore, Nicky Donaghy, Lindsay Nicholson and Isobel Turner for braving the cold to hold the buckets.

On Tuesday morning we will be sorting the bags of scarves, hats, cuddly toys, DVDs and computer games and the players will then hit the road to St Peter's Hospital, the Royal Surrey in Guildford and Christopher's Children’s Hospice.

Thank you again.
