RESERVES FOLLOW THE 1st TEAM TO CLINCH THEIR OWN LEAGUE TITLE

An exciting finale to the season witnessed the Reserves clinching the Suburban Football League Premier A Division title.
Eastbourne Borough turned up with seven 1st team players determined to spoil the party, however in a pulsating game the Cards came from 3-2 down to secure a 4-3 victory curtesy of a goal from Ola Sogbanmu and a hat trick from Moses Ademola.
Squad: Kennedy, Borode, Cardona, Close, McNerney, Coussens, Ademola, Frith, Hammond, Sogbanmu, Binns.
Subs: Mazzone, Taylor, Milford, Bicknell, Junior Smith.
An erratic start to the season witnessed the team languishing in the bottom half of the table after losing four games in the first nine, since then the lads have gone on a fantastic run losing just one league game since the 28th September.
The two wins over AFC Wimbledon were clearly significant results in deciding the final outcome of a fantastic season and whilst there have been occassional appearances from lads in the 1st Team squad the vast majority of the season witnessed the team being made up of u19 Academy players.
Our very own Jack Mazzone finished as the League top goal scorer with 14 goals in 16 appearances but everyone involved played their part.
