Woking Football Club Beer Festival

12:17pm, Tue 15th May 2012
Woking Football Club's FA Trophy Final victories will be shown on the big screen in the Cardinals' Bar on Saturday afternoon during the Beer Festival.

In 1994 the Cards won The FA Trophy for the first time, defeating Runcorn 2-1. An extra time winner against Kidderminster Harriers from Colin Fielder brought the FA Trophy back to Kingfield for the second year running in 1995. Two years later and the final went to extra time again, Darran Hay with the winning goal this time against Dagenham & Redbridge.

In the evening the Champions League Final between Bayern Munich & Chelsea will be shown live on the big screen.

The live entertainment on Friday will see Hannah Dorman and her band performing a selection of their own songs alongside some well known covers.

Chatty, relaxed and exciting, Singer Songwriter Hannah Dorman brings class and elegance to the stage with her rocking pop music. Her acoustic roots can be heard floating through, drawing you in with catchy rhythms and melodies, driven by a rocking rhythm section. Think The Kooks and Foo Fighters, but with long legs, wild hair and just a dusting of country.

Hannah Dorman - Live on Friday 18th May

Her inspiration and eclectic influences are not obvious but there is an underlying resonance in her music - Anastasia, Christina Aguilera, Shania Twain, McFly, Take That, MGMT and Kings of Leon all have their place. Lyrically fresh, honest and relevant, Hannah Dorman uncompromisingly delivers her songs with vocals that drift between breathy emotion and raw vocal power.

Hannah launched her new single 'Running Away' this week, to listen please visit her website - http://hannahdorman.wordpress.com.

Aimee Gould will also be performing live on the Friday. Aimee is a bubbly 18 year old from Hampshire. Her music takes influences from Lucy Rose, Laura Marling, Ellie Goulding and Corinne Bailey Rae and appeals to a wide audience as her songs are very relaxing, relatable and easy to listen to.

The full beer list & tasting notes will be published tomorrow.
