The Cards will go into Tuesday night's clash with Oxford in high spirits after a 2-0 victory over Altrincham.

The first half remained goalless with both sides squandering chances. Chris Senior failed to put the visitors ahead several times before the break.

Craig McAllister broke the deadlock on 62 minutes, heading home a corner from new signing Adam Green.

McAllister struck again on 75 minutes to double the Cards lead and an unfortunate Neil Barrett had a goal disallowed late on as he was adjudged to be offside.
