Woking v Leatherhead
Surrey Senior Cup Quarter-Final
7.45pm on Monday 27 January 2014
The Cards take on Leatherhead tomorrow (Monday) evening in the Quarter-Final of the Surrey Senior Cup. The Tanners are likely to provide the toughest opposition so far in this competition, so come on down to Kingfield if you can and cheer on Garry Hill’s side.
WOKING
The Cards will still be catching their breath after their exciting 2-2 draw at Lincoln City on Saturday. Garry will no doubt give run-outs to those first team squad members who didn’t play a full 90 minutes yesterday but will need to field a reasonably strong side to be confident of overcoming the threat from the Tanners.
In previous rounds of the Surrey Senior Cup Woking had home wins over Linfield 5-2 and Walton Casuals 3-2 and then beat Chipstead away 6-2.
Last season Woking were knocked out on penalties by Godalming Town at this stage of the competition.
LEATHERHEAD
The Tanners are going well in the Ryman League Division One South, currently sitting in second place after yesterday’s excellent 3-0 home win over fourth-placed Hastings United. In the league they have won 16 games, drawn seven and lost only four, scoring 56 goals and conceding 25.
Tom Bradbrook, who netted twice in yesterday’s win, is the leading scorer.
