Redhill 2 Woking 10
FA Youth Cup 2nd Qualifying Round
22nd September 2014
For the second match in a row, Woking had a comfortable victory to earn a tie against Burgess Hill in the next round. Goals at regular intervals throughout the game made it difficult to see what level the team are at. Always looking to move the ball at pace from 'keeper to the front, Woking scored as early as the fifth minute through Alex Fisher, who was on the end of a flowing move.
Redhill had their first attack of the night on twelve minutes but did not get near enough to goal to get a shot away.
Jack French got the first of his four goals for the visitors two minutes later, followed by a second for Fisher who found space on the left all night.
On the half-hour mark, French made it four followed by number five from Aaron Smith-Joseph.
Two minutes before the break a long range effort from Mills reduced the deficit for the home side.
Half-time: Redhill 1 Woking 5
The pattern of the game after the break followed similar lines to the first half with Woking adding five more goals, the first of these coming from Charlie Carter as he got behind the defence to sweep home number six.
Redhill managed a few forays into the Woking half but lacked a composed finish.
French then completed his hat trick just after the hour mark after a shot from Smith-Joseph was pushed out by the home 'keeper.
Six minutes later Max Austen got in on the act, before Daniel Bedford netted number nine.
The home side reduced the deficit when they scored their second from a penalty tucked away nicely by Harry Ward.
Woking continued to push forward and added a final goal from French.
