U19?s Football Conference Youth League Cup Semi Final

A quality performance from the u19?s was unfortunately not enough to earn them a place in the League Cup Final.

Although completely dominating the first half and grabbing an equal share of the territorial and possession stats in the second, the Woking youngsters were unable to find the net despite creating numerous chances, whilst at the other end they conceded two soft penalties.

I could argue that for twelve of the sixteen-man Woking squad this was their second game in 3 days; I could also point out that three or four players that might have started were out with injury.

Despite those factors Woking were the better side over the ninety minutes and on a better surface I am sure they would have converted three or four of the numerous chances that they created in open play, however sometimes in football as we all know the best team do not always win.

With four games remaining the boys are now left to concentrate on winning the FCYL Southern Division.

Squad: Ben Zatwardnicki, Dave Suchy, Jide Ogunbote, Dan Evans, Kevin Maclaren, David Middleton, Billy Hussey, Matthew Powell, Saeed Sankoh, Nuno Gourgel, Ross White.

Subs used: Luke Baker, Chris Dean, Pekan Samsdeen.

Subs not used: Steve Casey.
