Smoke Flares

Following the discharging of a smoke flare prior to Tuesday night’s home game against Forest Green, Woking FC are now having to answer an FA charge. The club are now at risk of receiving a fine and/or having parts of the ground closed.

Bringing smoke flares into the ground and letting them off is not only inconsiderate and dangerous to fellow fans but also contravenes the club's ground regulations and is a criminal offence. The courts take these offences very seriously and can impose banning orders (usually for 3 years), fines and even prison sentences.

Please can we ask all our fans to act responsibly and ensure that there is no repetition of this type of behaviour. Garry Hill rightly praised our wonderful fans for the way they got behind the team on Tuesday night, but letting off smoke flares really harms our reputation and undoes so much good work that the club and the fans do both on and off the pitch.
