Management team to run 50 laps of the pitch

14th June 2018

Management team to run 50 laps of the pitch On 18 July 2018, Woking Football Club are scheduled to play Chelsea under-23s in a pre-season friendly (7:45pm k/o) at The Laithwaite Community Stadium.

To mark the auspicious occasion, Alan “Dowse” Dowson and his two coaching assistants, Martin Tyler and Ian Dyer, will be doing 50 laps of the pitch to help raise money for The Cards’ budget appeal.

That’s right, our new management team will be running just over 10 miles from 3pm and hope that you can be part of that same journey too online in a bid to raise £5,000*.

To help spur them on, we are reaching out to fans and the community at large to donate whatever they can afford to boost Woking’s campaign in the National League South from August 2018.

With a number of new opportunities on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to be involved with Woking Football Club, but it’s important that we don’t run before we can walk, which is why Dowse, Martin and Ian need your support ahead of 18 July.

Crowdfunding has been identified as the most efficient way to raise additional capital that will enable this football club to progress.

Rather than opting for a hike in ticket prices, voluntary donations are seen as a great way to help Woking prosper and give us the best possible chance to have a great season.

To donate please visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/wfcboostthebudget2018

Every donation can make a real difference.

Thank you for your continued support.
