Young Cards' fan Joseph Wright, aged 12, was inspired to write a report of Saturday's match against Maidenhead United after enjoying the game, and decided to share it with us!

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham star Matt Jarvis (pictured) opened the scoring for Woking in Saturday’s National League fixture against Maidenhead United. Jarvis, who only signed for the Cards earlier this week, scored his first Woking goal by tapping the ball passed the Maidenhead keeper Taye Ashby-Hammond in the 62nd minute, just 4 minutes into his Woking debut.

The hosts certainly were looking the stronger team, and it paid off again in the 83rd minute, when French player Moussa Diarra, converted the ball into the back of the net, from a Woking corner. Maidenhead, who currently sit 20th in the league and have not won now in their last three games, failed to produce anything special having only 5 shots and 2 on target all match.

The Man of the Match in today’s event went to the Cardinal’s Jamar Loza, producing a stunning performance, especially in the first-half of the match.

Thank you for sending the report in Joseph, we'll make sure Dowse reads it too!

Do we have any other young reporters out there? We are looking for reports for the KC Kat page in our matchday programme, please email programme@wokingfc.co.uk if you are interested!
