As always we trust that this update finds you well.
You may well have heard that earlier this week the National League season was suspended indefinitely. This means it hasn’t been ended but there is also no idea at this time when things might resume. This leaves clubs in a state of limbo but we do understand there are ongoing talks between the different Leagues, presumably so that plans can be coordinated. Until we have clarity it will not be possible to set basic things in place like season ticket prices or ways fans who would like to support the club financially can respond. Challenging as it is with, effectively, no income for the foreseeable future we will be ready to address different eventualities - whether to reboot this campaign or prepare for next season.
The ground remains closed to the public and ongoing work includes basic maintenance of the pitch and making the facilities available for essential use, such as work with the Blood Transfusion Service, Woking Borough Council and the statutory services. The phones are not being manned on a regular basis.
The majority of staff, management and first team squad have now been added to the government retention scheme; this, in effect, means that those on furlough are not doing any work for the Club. 3 members of staff are continuing to work as normal as their daily responsibilities are essential to keep the club ticking over. In addition the Board is meeting regularly to process issues as they arise. We feel that the club has handled a very challenging few weeks pretty well and are grateful to all the staff and volunteers who have stepped in to help.
Queries regarding the stadium and day to day activities of the club can, in the first instance, be directed by email to our commercial manager at
