The Board is very pleased to announce two changes to the management of the Club.
After 5 years as our Company Secretary, Geoff Taylor has agreed to be co-opted onto the Board as Director responsible for Operations. He will provide our Operations Manager, Dave Curtis with a direct reporting line and support in his vital, tireless work, especially in these difficult times.
After much interest in the position of Company Secretary, Andy Turner has agreed to take up the role. Andy is a long standing supporter who has carried out a variety of roles at the club over the past 30 years. Andy (or his voice) will be well known to most supporters who attend The Laithwaite Community Stadium as he has been the PA announcer at matches for 20 years. Andy lives and breathes football and regularly watches all levels of football as well as the Cards. As a retired referee he is always happy to share his opinion on how the referee has performed or correct supporters on the laws of the game.
Andy has worked for HMRC for 29 years and in his current role has extensive experience in dealing with a variety of legislation, including company law.
A handover of Geoff’s responsibilities to Andy will start immediately.
