Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that John Katz has been co-opted onto the Board of Directors.

Chairman, Rosemary Johnson, commented: “John is a welcome addition to the board of the club. His enthusiasm for all things Woking and his engagement with the fans, the manager and the aim of Woking becoming self-sufficient and for the team to become full-time matches the ambition of the board. I look forward to working with John as he helps to move the club forward and awaken the sleeping giant!

Katz was unveiled to fans last month as a prospective investor in the club, along with his business partner Drew Volpe, and has huge experience operating baseball clubs and multi-use baseball grounds in America, and has extensive knowledge of football both in England and around the world.

“I am both humbled and honoured to join the Board of Directors of Woking Football Club, said John Katz. “I am hopeful to use my broad base of experience to begin the process of moving the club forward and planning for the 2021/22 season as a full-time club.

John holds shares in the Cards in his own right and as a co-opted member of the board will have to be re-elected by the shareholders at the club's AGM.
