I spoke briefly to Frank Gray earlier this evening just to get an update for Saturday?s game at Weymouth ? assuming the weather doesn?t supervene!
Frank confirmed that there are no injury worries apart from Matt Ruby?s absence as he recovers from the operation on his hand. Paul Lorraine is suspended.
On the transfer front, Frank confirmed that he still has some room in his budget to strengthen the squad. He has been talking to various players and hopes that there will be some news to report early next week. He didn?t want to be drawn on which areas he was trying to strengthen.
Frank watched Weymouth in their 1-0 win at Oxford last week. Since then they have drawn 0-0 at home to Kidderminster in the Trophy. Jason Tindall, Weymouth?s manager, has told Terras? supporters that he has been playing more defensively in the last few games after a bad run of results. Frank is surprised that Weymouth have been doing so poorly. ?They played very well when they came to Kingfield. I thought they played the best football we?d seen here. They?ve probably under-achieved and are clearly taking steps to get back on track. It will be a tough game.?
