Why Woking Football Club?

WFC is at the forefront of professional football in Surrey, currently playing in the Blue Square Premier league. Formed in 1889, we are recognised as one of the most successful and best-supported sides in non-League football and have become a household name with our past FA Cup exploits.

Recently voted the Most Outstanding Club in the South East for the Last 30 Years by the Non-League Directory. The award was given to Woking FC in recognition of all the club's achievements both on and off the pitch and for its continued progression over the past 30 years.

The only non-league fully professional football team in Surrey. Defeated Nottingham forest in the LDV Vans Trophy competition in 2005/06 and reached a record fourth FA Trophy Final in May 2006. Realistic ambitions of achieving promotion to the Football League

More than 2,000 regular supporters attending two matches or more each month

Over 9,000 occasional supporters attending more than 5 matches per season. In excess of 6000 Woking Supporters followed the Cards to Upton Park for the FA Trophy Final in 2006, with a total attendance of 13,977

Almost 54,000 match attendances in 2006/07 season.

Average gate places WFC in the top quarter of Conference teams and in the top ten best supported clubs outside the Football League

In excess of 15 million hits on our website each year with over 1900 unique visits per day on average from all over the world.

Registered database of over 1,700 supporters

Live exposure on Steanta Sports TV - at least one live Blue Square Premier match from Kingfield is televised each season. Woking v Grays was televised live on Sky Sports 1 on Saturday 1 October 2006. Woking v Aldershot Town televised live on Sky Sports 1 on Monday 9 October 2006. Woking v Farsley Celtic teleivsed live on Setanta Sports on Thursday 5 October 2007. FA Trophy Final televised live on Sky Sports 2 on Sunday 14 May 2006, Woking v Grays - to an audience of 170,000 viewers.

Major features weekly in the press Reaching 427K adults in an average week including the Surrey Advertiser, Woking News & Mail, Surrey Herald, Woking Review, Woking Informer Regular features in the national Non-League Paper reaching 100K+ readers. Features in the Times, Telegraph and Financial Times appear several times each year

Media coverage through radio 964 Eagle, BBC Southern Counties several times every week, plus BBC London Live and Capital Gold occasionally throughout the season. Live coverage of 90% of WFC games feature on BBC Southern Counties

Programme sales for 2006/07 - in excess of 18,000 programmes distributed to supporters, sponsors and press

Conference Programme of the Year winners - for seasons 2001/02 and 2003/04, runners-up in 2004/05 with continuing ambitions for the future

The Main Stand at Kingfield Stadium is one of the biggest in the Conference seats over 2000 supporters. Plans in place for major redevelopment of Kingfield Stadium into 2007/08.
