KC's Superstar Squad

Each week I pick 2 people to be in my Superstar Squad! They can be players, staff, fans, even the stewards! They're just great people who make Kingfield such a fantastic place to be! Who's made it so far? Let's find out!

No 1. - Glenn Cockerill
Everyone knows Glenn at Kingfield! Why? Well he's the boss! And what a great boss too! Glenn was a great player when he was younger, playing for Southampton in the Premier League, but now he's Woking through and through and that's why he's made my squad! Let's hope the boys deliver the points for Glenn today. Well done Glenn - you're number 1!!

No 2. - Jane Spong
Most of our younger fans know Jane - she's in charge of the Junior Cards! And what a great job she does! She's always here at Kingfield looking after our younger members and making sure we have a great time! Thanks Jane! You've earned squad number 2!!

No 3. Krusty the Steward

If you've ever stood in the Kingfield Road End, you should know who Krusty is! He's the steward behind the goal who looks like Krusty the Clown from the Simpsons! He's a great steward who looks after the crowd but knows when to have a laugh too! Yes and I'm sorry about using you as target practice for my water pistol! Well done Krusty - you make number 3 in my squad!

No 4. Steve Ferguson

Stevie is a big favourite amongst our Junior Cards - and after the game against Stevenage you can see why! His last minute winning goal was just superb! Steve makes my squad this week for his exciting play and of course for 'that goal'! Congratulations Steve you've earned squad number 4!

No 5. Ian Selley

Did you know that Ian used to play for Arsenal? Well luckily he has seen sense and now plays for a much better team! I just had to put Ian in my squad this week! Not only is he Captain of the team but he's also a top scorer so far this season! Ian makes my squad as he's our midfield magician and always gives his all for Woking! Well done Ian!

No 6. Mark Smith

Now I've decided to let Mark in my squad even though he always moans at me for not giving him any of my treats! You'll know him as the guy who serves in the club shop - but he's always in the middle of the KRE and is also treasurer of the supporters club! Despite doing all these things he still managed to find time to get engaged at the beginning of the season! Congratulations Mark! - and congratulations on making my Squad!

No 7. Jane Rickwood

Now there is always a lot of attention given to my bucket of treats but it would be a very empty bucket if it wasn't for Jane in the Woking FC clubhouse! Jane is always serving and looking after the fans in the bar and follows the famous Cardinals wherever they travel! She's the noisy one at the front of the coach! So congratulations Jane - you've made my Superstar Squad - and thanks for always having my treats ready!

No 8. Luke Oliver

It's so good to see Luke back in a red and white shirt! Luke was fantastic for Woking last season and it's great to have him back here on loan after Yeovil bought him from us in the summer! He just couldn't bear to leave us all here at Kingfield! Well done Luke - you've made my Superstar Squad - and you are now easily the tallest member!

No 9. Neil Smith

Neil is our midfield dynamo and club captain! Neil makes my squad this week as he'll give everything for the Cards to do well. Look out for Neil spurring the other players on today! As my Superstar Squads Mr Motivator - Smudger makes my squad at number 9!

No 10. Tony Charters

Now Tony's face is not known to many of our fans - but that's because he is always the wrong side of the camera! He's the guy who take all the action shots of the boys for the programme and the website! Tony has made my squad this week for his great pictures and for letting me use them on my page!! You can even buy some of them in the shop!

Well done Tony - you are number 10!

No 11. Justin Richards

Well there's no surprise that Justin made it into my squad this week! After his superb hat-trick against Scarborough last week he has more than earned his place! Did you know that Burton Albion tried to buy Justin from us in the summer? Well luckily Justin knows that Kingfield is the only place to be and he's still knocking in the goals for the Cards! Well done Justin - you made number 11!

No 12. Brian Caffarey

Now as my squad is for superstars then Brian just had to make it in! Not many people know Brian's face around Kingfield but take a closer look at the programme pages or the website and you will soon get to know who he is! Brian make's my squad for all his excellent work to keep us Cards fans informed and up to date with all the news and views from Kingfield! Well done Brian - you're Superstar Squad number 12!

No 14. Martyn Tyler

Now my squad is full of superstars, but Martyn Tyler is a very well known one indeed! He's the top commentator on Sky Sports and a Woking fan through and through! Did you know he always wears his Woking FC tie when he's on the TV? Martyn gets his place in my squad as no matter where he's commentating - he's always got the Cards in his thoughts! Well done Martyn - you're number 14!

No 15. Matt Crossley

Well it's been a few weeks since I introduced my superstar squad and to be quite honest it's about time that Matt was included! He's not only Glenn's right hand man but also coaches the boys too! Did you know that Matt has already won the Conference when he was at Wycombe? Let's hope he can do it again this year with the Cards! Congratulations Matt you make number 15!
