20. Toby Edser

The dynamic playmaking midfielder joined the Cards for a second spell in August 2019 on loan from Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Toby first joined Woking in October 2018 and played 19 games during the club's 2018/19 campaign, in which the Cards won promotion to the National League and reached the third round of the FA Cup, making his debut for the club against Welling United in the fourth qualifying round. He scored his first of four goals against Folkestone Invicta in the FA Trophy the following month and got another in the following round against Maidstone United. He scored his first league goal in the 3-1 win over Hampton and Richmond Borough on Boxing Day with a superbly taken free-kick, before getting the fourth and final goal of his loan spell against Eastbourne Borough three days later. His final game was also against Welling in a 2-0 home league win - the 14th victory in his 19 games.

Originally from Guildford, Edser watched the Cards as a youngster and confessed that he jumped at the opportunity to move to Kingfield from parent club Forest, where he has been captain of the Under-23 side. He now returns to his boyhood club looking to make a similar impact and further progress his increasingly impressive young career.
