WOKING 0 YORK CITY 2
11 October 2008
A season?s best crowd of 2,341, on a beautifully sunny afternoon at Kingfield, saw the Cards exemplify that old football maxim: ?if you don?t take your chances, you get punished?.
Woking should have been 2-0 up after ten minutes as Joel Ledgister and Liam Marum both missed great chances and Tom Hutchinson headed narrowly wide.
Retribution came in the second half when York, who hadn?t tested Lenny Pidgeley at all in the first half, scored twice. To make matters worse for the Cards, they then had both Hutchinson and Quamina harshly dismissed late on for picking up two yellow cards each.
A full report will follow from Chris Hunter.
