Letter of thanks Dear Chris

Re: Bucket collection at the Woking v Aldershot match on 28/07/09

On behalf of Great Britain Deaf Women’s football, I would like to express our grateful thanks for being given the opportunity to carry out a bucket collection at last night’s friendly match against Aldershot at Kingfield. This was a very generous gesture and this was very much appreciated indeed.

We were staggered by the generous amount of £319.70p that was given by the Woking and Aldershot fans; this was far, far beyond what we had hoped to raise. We were also very grateful for the fact you were able to put some publicity out as well as managing to get buckets that we were able to use. This definitely was a great opportunity to raise the profile of Deaf women’s football and it also reinforced the image of Woking FC as a great, caring community club.

We will certainly put the money to good use; it will benefit the women footballers in their quest of bringing home our ultimate target from Taiwan; namely the Gold Medal! We want to keep all our major sponsors/supporters updated and we will be updating our website www.bristishdeaffootball.com with our progress in Taiwan. We would like to include you (and Woking FC) in this and send you email updates.

Once again we would like to thank you and everyone at Woking FC, for the opportunity to have this collection, also for the sterling support you are giving to Great Britain Deaf Football.

I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Yours in Football
