Car Park and Director’s Stand will be under more pressure than normal
You will know that the Directors have decided to celebrate the life of Philip Ledger by dedicating the Thurrock match to his memory. You may also know that some 50 or so of his friends and colleagues have been invited to come to the match. Some of them had known him through football for more than 70 years.
In order that we can offer proper hospitality on this unique occasion, the Directors have also decided to offer the Legends' Bar to this group. This is to allow them to keep together and be near to both the entrance and stand. We sincerely hope that anyone who normally would use that room will understand under the circumstances and use the Cardinals' Bar on this one occasion.
We are also encouraging as many people as possible not to bring their cars into the car-park on Saturday. This is so we can offer those.coming a long way, or who may have mobility issues, more of a chance to park close to the ground. Perhaps you could let us know if you are able to make other arrangements and usually have a space.
Finally, there may be some slight disruption to the normal seating arrangements in order that we accommodate our guests and we hope you will understand this too.
