Youth Team Defeat Title Rivals Woking 4 Hayes & Yeading 1
Ryman Youth League
Tuesday 6th April 2010

Woking took an early lead after 5 minutes with Chris Aldridge running into the box down the right, his shot saved well by the Hayes & Yeading keeper but Ola Sogbanmu was on hand to put the rebound home.

Hayes equalised 5 minutes later after some good link up play between Ehui & Worman, with the latter crossing the ball along the floor for Longdon-Hughes to tap in.

Woking almost got the lead back straight away, with Jack Blatchford putting in a good cross which Ollie Palmer just headed wide.

The young Cards restored their lead in the 25th minute, Palmer laying the ball back to George Frith who smashed the ball into the bottom left of the Hayes goal from the edge of the box.

The same two almost doubled Woking's margin when Frith shot with power and the ball deflected off Palmer wide of the goal

Half Time: Woking 2 Hayes & Yeading 1

Callum Eagle got Woking's 3rd goal in the 53rd minute, the defender slotting the ball home from a tight angle.

Substitute Sammy Charles looked lively when he came on, and almost set up Woking's 4th, threading an inch perfect pass through to Carr who tried to round the Hayes keeper a few yards out from goal but the keeper did well to stop it.

Frith got his 2nd goal in the 78th minute, a similar goal to his 1st, hitting the ball into the bottom corner of the goal from just outside the penalty area.

Full Time: Woking 4 Hayes & Yeading 1

MOTM: Tough choice as the whole team played well, but George Frith just edges it for his 2 well-taken goals and a solid performance in the midfield.

Woking: Pegler, Watkins, Cousins, Eagle, Gough, Frith, Aldridge (Charles, 61), Blatchford, Sogbanmu (Ajani, 75), Palmer, Carr (Mazzone, 72)

Subs not used: Turner, Richards
