Woking defeated Raynes Park Vale Reserves this evening to close the gap on leaders Welling United to just 3 points, with the Cards having 4 games in hand.

A young reserve side took an early lead after 3 minutes, with Charlie Moone (pictured) heading home a Charlie Turnbull corner.

Woking beat the offside trap 10 minutes later, goalkeeper Ali Turpie clearing the ball down the pitch with Gavin Miller running on to it, with only the Raynes Park keeper to beat he squared the ball to Moone, but there was just a touch too much weight on the pass.

Charlie Moone got his 2nd of the game in the 22nd minute, the keeper had saved from a shot on the edge of the box but it bounced out of his hands into the path of Moone who had one of the easiest finishes of his career to double Woking's lead.

Another chance fell to Moone a few minutes later, with Charlie Turnbull playing a lovely ball to Moone who controlled with his chest, turned, and shot just wide.

Half Time: Woking 2 Raynes Park Vale 0

Raynes Park had a chance to get back into the game in the 69th minute, a neat chip over the Woking defence saw one of their strikers one on one with Turpie, but he closed down well and turned the ball around the post for a corner.

Sean Bradley had a chance a few minutes later, Charlie Moone playing him in, but his shot rebounded off the post into the keeper's arms.

Matt Ferdinando added a 3rd for Woking in the 77th minute, firing a powerful drive low into the corner of the goal from 25 yards out.

Charlie Moone finally got his hat-trick in the 80th minute, looking frustrated from not taking earlier chances he made up for it with this effort, turning and volleying the ball over the keeper from 30 yards out.

Woking added a 5th in the 90th minute, Charlie Moone being unselfish and playing it to Billy Hussey who knocked it past the keeper.
