Our Academy lads playing for Westfield won the final of the Combined Counties Youth Cup, with a 6-2 win against Molesey after extra time on Tuesday.
However the scoreline does little to tell the story of a fantastic incident packed game.
Westfield took the lead midway through the first half through man of the match Aaron Gough
(pictured) and shortly after doubled the lead through Adam Bicknell before Molesey pulled one back just before the break.
The second period saw Westfield spurn 4 of 5 clear cut chances before Molesey hit a superb 20 yard equalizer. Westfield again missed a number of clear cut chances before Molesey again finished the half the strongest and threatened to win the tie.
Into extra time and Molesey twice went close including one which hit the post and rolled across the line before Westfield took control of the game and went on to score four more times without reply.
