Thank you to everyone who helped and gave so generously as part of the Christmas Project – it was a great response.
We now have details of how the money and donations will be used and how you can help further:-
The Royal Surrey is opening a Teenage Oncology (cancer) Care Centre in January and would like books and video games for that for youngsters struggling with cancer.
St Peters have requested an Xbox 360 for their young patients.
Christophers Childrens Hospice would like toys and also a cash donation towards their incredible ongoing work.
We will also be doing home visits with food hampers for some of the neediest elderly residents in the area around the ground.
So far we have raised, through fans and players, approaching £600 towards the target of £1000 to be able to do all this. You can still help in the following ways:-
Donations of money in 2 ways:-
> cash or cheques can be left in bucket in the club shop clearly marked for Christmas project. Cheques payable to Woking FC.
> cheques payable to 'The Matrix Trust' can be sent to 11, Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford GU1 1BA and marked for Woking FC. Matrix can claim gift aid back on doantions as it is a charity.
>In addition non perishable food items for the hampers can be left in the container in the club shop at Woking home games up to 18th December.
