As part of its drive towards success in The Blue Square Bet South Football League, Woking Football Club is seeking to recruit a Commercial Sales & Marketing Executive. This is a high profile, full time role which seeks to secure income for the club through a wide variety of sponsorships and other commercial activities.
Reporting to The Commercial Director, the key objective is to help identify and deliver income generating initiatives within Woking and the wider area to a defined sales cycle.
This is a hands on role for a passionate sales and marketing focused individual who understands football and the importance of delivering results within deadlines.
The ability to identify, engage and sell to key stakeholders is essential as is the confidence to communicate the club’s vision and values to a wide audience. You will be a self starter, car owner/driver, creative and confident, preferably educated to degree standard, willing to work some evenings and weekends, including matchdays. Ideally, you will have gained experience of, and can demonstrate success in, a strongly commercial sales or football sales environment. Expertise in marketing will be a distinct advantage. Highly computer literate, you must be able to work in a team environment where your drive, attention to detail, oral/ written communication and inter personal skills will be fully tested.
Rewarded mainly by results, you will however recognise the importance of building relationships that best serve the long term interests of Woking Football Club.
Salary: £15,000 basic, plus commission
