Whyteleafe 3 - 1 Woking
FA Youth Cup 1st Qualifying Round
Thursday 22nd September 2011

Woking's FA Youth Cup 1st Qualifying Round match started evenly with both sides going close a couple of times in the first 25 minutes, Dean Brazil coming closest for Woking but Ricky Borrett, who was in goal for the Leafe's first team back in January when they played Woking in the Surrey Senior Cup, stopped his shot. A skilful move from Whyteleafe's Sam Marks saw him beat three Woking players on his route to goal before Ryan O'Sullivan pushed the ball behind for a corner.

Woking striker Brazil produced a couple of good crosses late in the first half from the left hand side of the penalty area, but Whyteleafe's defence managed to clear them both. Jake Hicks had a further chance for Woking, receiving the ball unmarked on the right of the penalty area, but his shot sailed just over the bar. Straight up the other end and O'Sullivan had to save a powerful shot from Jerome Blake just before half time.

Half Time: Whyteleafe 0 - 0 Woking

An early ball over the top 20 seconds into the second half saw Brazil through on goal, but Borrett done well to close him down and deflect the ball behind for a corner.

Woking took the lead in the 61st minute, a cross from Adam Bellmaine was cleared to Louie Meech 35 yards out from goal, and he smashed it into the far corner with a superb strike.

Nick Sayer equalised for Whyteleafe in the 72nd minute, a curling shot into the top left corner from the right hand side of the penalty area. They nearly took the lead 3 minutes later, Jordan Martin having his header from a long free kick saved.

in the 89th minute substitute Greg Clare put Whyteleafe in front, taking his time from a tight angle to fire the ball into the far corner of the net, with O'Sullivan just managing to get finger-tips to the ball but not enough to send it wide. Clare made it 3 - 1 to Whyteleafe deep into time added on, to give his side a trip to Burgess Hill Town in the 2nd Qualifying Round.
