Woking Football Club is very proud and delighted to announce that Garry Hill has won the Blue Square Bet South Manager of the Season award.
This was announced at tonight's prestigious Football Conference presentation evening, being held at the Celtic Manor Resort.
Garry's record is outstanding since joining the club halfway through last season, and in his first full season as manager he's taken the Cards to their highest points total for twenty years and achieved promotion back to the Blue Square Bet Premier.
This makes it a hat-trick of Manager of the Season awards for Garry, having previously won it with Dagenham & Redbridge in 2000 and Weymouth in 2006.
Last month Garry and his assistant Steve Thompson both signed new deals to remain with the club.
At tonight's award ceremony it was also announced that Alan Inns, Jack King and Giuseppe Sole are in the Blue Square Bet South team of the year, as voted for by all the clubs in the division. Congratulations go to new signings Jack Parkinson and Loick Pires, who have also made the team.
Earlier in the day there was further good news for Woking Football Club, when all the hard work done by everyone in the Football in the Community team was recognised and acknowledged, with the club winning the Blue Square Bet South Community Club of the Year award, and being described as "outstanding".
The recognition of Garry, Alan, Jack, Gez and the Football in the Community team caps off what has been a memorable season for the club.
