Charity Sports Quiz

Club Chaplain Ian Nicholson is hosting a charity Sports Quiz and Curry at the football club on 19th July, the night before the Olympic torch arrives in Surrey. Each year Christians in Sport produce an excellent quiz package, incorporating video and audio clips, which is used in hundreds of dinners around the country. For 2012 the quiz theme is obviously the Olympics and Paralympics.

The evening will have between 10 and 12 teams competing and will include food, quiz and pay bar. There will be a short and engaging presentation showing the relationship between faith and sport and the work of Sports Chaplaincy UK, the nominated charity for the quiz, which supports over 200 volunteer Chaplains around the country.

Teams can have a minimum of 6 people and the cost is £10 per person or £90 for a full table of 10.

Half the tables are already filled but there is plenty of space for more – to enter a team please email iannicholson@matrixtrust.com.

Commenting on this exciting event, Ian Nicholson said: “I did one of these quizzes a year or so ago and it was fantastic – really well put together. (It helped that my team won!) I have been looking for an opportunity to do one at the club and the night before the Olympic torch comes to town seems to be about the best time – it will be a good night and all are invited. Do get in touch if you want to enter a team or if it’s just one or two people we can find a team for you to join.
