Yesterday saw the start of the Super Series Lacrosse five game series at Kingfield Stadium. It was the first time in the history of Women’s Lacrosse that a World Lacrosse team was formed, as well as it being the first time since 1985 that a Great Britain team played.
The game started at an extremely high tempo with the Great Britain team, scoring in the first minute. The quick start set the tempo for the remainder of the game, leading to a very entertaining game. However the World Lacrosse Team dominated the first half, taking an 8-1 lead into half time.
Throughout the second half the Great Britain team dug in deep, fighting hard with the final score finishing 14-9 to the World Lacrosse Team. As it stands the World Lacrosse Team are 1-0 up in the series with four games remaining.
Admission prices for Woking FC season ticket holders, Cards Trust members and platinum members have been reduced to £5.00.
So why not take advantage of this fantastic opportunity and come down to Kingfield to see the Lacrosse first hand.
