Woking Football Club is very pleased to confirm that Brett Johnson has signed a pre-contract agreement to join us on 1st August from AFC Wimbledon.
AFC Wimbledon have given us permission for Brett to play in our pre-season friendlies and he will be in the squad to face Windsor FC tomorrow.
Brett, 26, is a defender who is equally comfortable at centre-back or left-back. He started his career at Ashford Town (Middx), moving to Aldershot Town in 2004 where he helped the Shots to the Conference National play-offs, losing to Carlisle United on penalties in the semi-final.
He went on to play for Football League sides Northampton Town & Brentford before joining AFC Wimbledon at the start of the 2009/10 season. Brett made over 25 appearances for the Dons in their Blue Square Bet Premier play-off winning season, including the final against Luton Town.
