Woking Football Club Beer Festival - This Friday & Saturday!

The Woking Football Club Beer Festival is only a day away!

For the third consecutive year The Cards Trust are delighted to be hosting this popular Beer & Cider festival at Woking Football Club.

Sessions are from 6pm on Friday and from 1pm on Saturday. A range of real ales and ciders will be available, as will hot food & free parking. All beers and ciders will be priced at £3 a pint.

Tickets will be available on the day, priced at £5. Alternatively you can buy in advance from the club shops or online here.



We will be showing Live International Football from Brazil on the Big Screen!

On Friday there will be matches involving France, Costa Rica, Switzerland and Italy. Saturday's action will feature Argentina, Iran, Germany and Ghana.





Beer List & Tasting Notes

£3 a pint or £1.50 half a pint.

Beer

Tim Woods - Best Bitter 3.5%
It is an easy to drink bitter and has a fresh, dry, hoppy flavour combined with a fruity aftertaste and heady aroma.

Woodforde - Craft Lager 4.1%
A continental style lager brewed using Norfolk grown lager malt combined with german hallartau Blanc and perle hops, creating a lager with real flavour. Brewed slowly at low temperature for extra flavour and aroma, it will have wide appeal.

Skinners - Betty's Brazilian 4%
The only way to celebrate the worlds largest sporting event (and best excuse to go to the pub) is with this classic fruity, bitter sweet skinner's pale ale, brewed using the finest cornish pale malt and a selection of the finest west country & Us hops. Back of the net!

Titanic - Ale Over 4.5%
Amber coloured hoppy and fruity with a little citrus flavour. Bitter and slightly dry in the finish.

Towcester - Mill Race 3.9%
Brewed using pilsner Malt to give this beer it's pale blond appearance with a herbal and grapefruit finish.

Upham - Punter 4%
A clean, delicious and refreshing bitterness with a balance of maltiness from the finest Maris otter pale malt. this is followed by a distinctive dry fruitiness reminiscent of gooseberries, giving the beer a satisfying blend of flavours.

Hooky - Double Stout 4.8%
A blend of malts gives Double Stout a character all of its own. Black malt enriches the colour and teases the palate with an unmistakable 'toast' flavour. Brown malt gives it the dryness.

Siren - Undercurrent 4.5%
A 4.5% pale ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Undercurrent is part pale, part oats and part caramel barley. Her swirls of bold, bready and nutty malt whirl into a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops. Mystery lurks in those cascade and palisade hops. Her silky, creamy body will pull you under.

Siren - Soundwave 5.6%
A 5.6% west coast IPA: golden, immensely hoppy and alive with grapefruit, peach and mango flavours. Soundwave carries her drinker to the west coast, to the golden shores of California where craft ale is nectar. She is the driest of Siren's ales - full with flavour but subtle with bitterness.

Fullers - Two Halves 3.5%
To celebrate the football World Cup we have brewed this Golden Ale using hops from five different continents to represent those contesting this coveted event. the unique combination of hops gives the beer a citrus and red fruit aroma which balance the cereal malts to leave a crisp refreshing bite.

Fullers - Summer Ale 3.7%
Light, smooth, pale gold in colour, and highly refreshing served chilled. Brewed with malted wheat for crisp, biscuity flavours, and balanced by dry Czech Saaz hops, this excellent ale delivers a wealth of flavours.

Thurstons - Horsell Best 3.8%
A balanced bitter and ideal session beer.

Cider

Westons - Country Perry 4.5%
Made from perry pears and fullly matured in old oak vats to develop its strength and traditional character. Free from all artificial colouring, flavouring and sweetening it retains its natural pale colour.

Westons - Old Rosie 7.3%
Award winning Old Rosie is allowed to settle out naturally after fermentation resulting in a truly old fashioned, full flavoured, appley, cloudy scrumpy; with a well balanced medium dry character.

Broad Oak - Pheasant Plucker 4.5%
The Original Cider Company has been producing cider and perry in Somerset for over 25 years and they are now one of the country’s largest independent producers. This is a clear orange-coloured cider with a moderate apple aroma. It is a medium to light bodied scrumpy with soft to flat carbonation. A few of these and you'll want to start singing, I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate...

Lilleys - Crazy Goat 6.8%
A medium sweet mix of perry and cider expertly blended giving it a mouth-watering juicy flavour.
