Woking Football Club can confirm that scan results have revealed that Ismail Yakubu has ruptured his anterior cruciate, and will be out for 12 months.
Ismail has been in outstanding form this season, and as you can imagine he is absolutely devastated to know that his season is over before it’s hardly begun.
This is the third serious cruciate injury in less than a year that the club has suffered, Scott Rendell and Mike Cestor suffering the same unfortunate fate. Manager Garry Hill quoted: “I have over the years had some top quality defenders, and Ismail is up there with the best of them’’.
Everyone at Woking Football Club wishes Ismail well with his recovery.
