Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that Charlie Carter has signed a new contract with the club.

Charlie, 20, was awarded his first contract last summer after leaving the Cards’ Academy. He made his debut on Tuesday 9th August in the 2-2 draw away to Solihull Moors and went on to make 32 league appearances, and scored 6 goals in Woking’s successful Surrey Senior Cup campaign, including 2 goals in the 4-0 final victory against Merstham at The Laithwaite Community Stadium which earned him the Man of the Match award.

Woking manager Anthony Limbrick: “Charlie is a young talented player who has come through into the first team with the good work of the club’s Academy. He has plenty of potential to develop and this will be an important season for him to push on and progress.

Charlie commented: “It is a difficult step up into the National League, I did find it difficult but I think I just grew into it and was trying my best, that’s all you can do really. I think next season as I’ve got this past year of experience under my belt I can now really push on, hopefully I can show everyone here that I am at this standard and I can really push on.

We’ll shortly have an interview with Charlie, visit either our Facebook page or Twitter at 7.30pm!
