Woking Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Chez Isaac.
Chez, 24, is a central midfield player who started his career in Watford’s academy, where he had a loan spell in the Conference Premier with Tamworth, and then moved on to Boreham Wood in the summer of 2012. He had a season in the Conference South with Boreham Wood, before joining Braintree Town in May 2013. Chez spent 4 seasons with Braintree Town, where he made over 160 league appearances, including a few as captain last season. In 2016 he was called up to the England C team, making a substitute appearance in the International Challenge Trophy match away to Ukraine.
Chez on why he joined Woking: “I’ve been speaking to a few clubs in this league, it was just meeting Anthony really, I know Woking are a good club anyway, with a good setup here, I know a few of the players who have played here, and hear really good things. I had a few opportunities on the table but what Anthony was saying about his philosophy and what he was hoping to do this season really inspired me and I think I’m definitely a good fit for what he’s looking for, the way I play and what he wants to do, so it was mainly the setup of the club and what he was saying to me really.
Cards’ manager Anthony Limbrick said: “Chez has great experience in this league having played over 170 games at this level already at the age of 24, and we’re pleased to sign him as he had a lot of offers from other Vanarama National League clubs. He’s a player who will bring plenty of energy and work rate to the midfield, and looks to get on the ball and play.
We welcome Chez to the club.
We’ll shortly have an interview with Chez, visit either our Facebook page or Twitter at 5.30pm!
