Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that Louis Ramsay will be signing on a season-long loan from Norwich City.
Louis, 19, is a right back who started out at Tottenham Hotspur before joining the Canaries’ Under 18 team in the summer of 2014. He signed a two-year professional contract in 2016, progressing to their development squad. Last season Louis made 17 appearances for Norwich City U23s in the Premier League 2, plus 4 appearances in the EFL Trophy, and was an unused substitute for Norwich City’s FA Cup Third Round match at Southampton in January.
Louis commented: “I played Under 23s for the last two years at Norwich, I just think I needed a new challenge, and men’s first team football is what I really wanted and Woking gave me that opportunity and I’ll never turn that down.
Anthony on signing Louis on loan for the season: “Having seen him come up and progress through the academy at Norwich City, playing against him many times, I know he’ll be a great addition to the team with his physical attributes and willingness to get forward and affect the game.
We welcome Louis to the club!
We’ll have an interview with Louis on our social media later today.
Don’t forget the Cards are at home to Cambridge United this evening, and host Swindon Town on Saturday in our final pre-season friendly!
