Woking Football Club can announce that Inih Effiong has left the Cards to join Scottish Premiership side Ross County for an undisclosed fee.
Inih, 27, signed for Woking in May 2017, and it took the striker only 18 minutes into our first Vanarama National League match to score his opening goal for Woking in the 2-1 victory against Gateshead. Inih went on to score a total of 10 goals for Woking in 35 appearances.
Before joining the Cards, Inih played for Biggleswade Town in the Southern Premier League where he scored 23 goals in the first half of the 2016/17 season, earning him a move to Barrow AFC in the Vanarama National League last January. He started his career at St Albans City in 2008, and also had spells at Boreham Wood and Chesham United.
Anthony Limbrick said: "Inih's worked hard for us since joining in the summer, and when the offer from Ross County came in Inih made it clear to us that he wanted to make the move into the Scottish Premiership. It's a good opportunity for Inih to play against the likes of Celtic and Rangers, and we wouldn't stand in the way of him doing so."
We wish Inih all the best for the future and thank him for all his efforts for the Cards this season.
