The Academy would like to announce the results of their end of season awards for Academy Player of the Year and Player's player of the year.
Academy Player of the Year: George Isaacs
'George has been a rock at the back throughout his 2 years within the academy programme and has continually improved and developed into a no nonsense centre half that wants to compete and attack every ball that comes in and around the penalty area. This season he has struck up a dominant partnership with Dan Choules.'
1st Year Players' player of the Year: Peter Arnold
'Peter has stepped up when needed to provide great cover for Sam Mason in his first season in the academy. He has handled the challenge with confidence and his performances have grown with every game. He is now a regular in the U23's side and made some match winning saves on the U18's run to their Cup Finals.'
2nd Year Players' player of the Year: Ross Murdoch
'Ross has continued from where he left off last season scoring plenty of goals. This season he has led the line as the number 9 with great effect and is currently looking to be the top scorer within in the U18s Isthmian League. Ross also scored both goals in the U18s Cup Final win against Met Police last week.'
3rd Year Players' player of the Year: Reggie Young
'Reggie joined us from AFC Wimbledon part way through the season, settling straight away, showing his great pace and technical ability in 1v1 situations. With his consistent displays for the U23s Reggie was rewarded with a squad number and promotion to the first team squad in March.'
All the players will receive their awards at the end of Season Dinner this coming Saturday.
