CARDS? boss Frank Gray has already begun to give the Woking fans more value for money ? by making the Kingfield pitch wider by around eight feet.
Those supporters got their first glimpse of the club?s reshuffled pack on home turf in Tuesday?s 1-0 win against AFC Wimbledon, with Matt Gray?s opening minute volley enough to win a lively clash against Terry Brown?s side.
With the Kingfield pitch noticeably narrower Gray admitted: ?I don?t like watching matches on narrow pitches. I don?t think it bodes well for playing football and getting the ball wide."
Gray played a 3-4-1-2 formation ? without the injured Tom Hutchinson (hamstring) and Jay Gasson (ankle) ? two of his three favoured centre backs who look set to start the Blue Square Premier campaign two weeks on Saturday.
Paul Lorraine looked to have a touch of class and composure about him alongside Matt Ruby and Danny Bunce, who deputised for the injured pair, while Matt Gray?s delivery into the box was threatening at times.

Woking face Havant away on Friday night and Bognor on Saturday.
* THE much-heralded meeting between Cards? chairman Chris Ingram and council decision makers, planned for today, Thursday, to discuss planning issues, has been re-scheduled for September.
Ingram's right-hand man David Taylor will also be involved in the discussions.
