Peter Jordan appointed Honorary Vice President of the Cards

The Board are delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Jordan as Honorary Vice President of Woking Football Club.
At last night’s Shareholders AGM Peter, who has been looking to pull back for a while, stood down as a Board member and Rosemary Johnson expressed the immense gratitude the club, shareholders and fans have for Peter’s involvement.
To call Peter Jordan the majority shareholder does not begin to do justice to his immense contribution to the life of Woking FC. Peter is a businessperson, benefactor, fan and volunteer. In particular Peter’s fledgling Calor Gas franchise grew to be the third largest in the country and the Cards benefitted from 7 years with Calor Gas as the main club sponsor. In addition, in an increasingly competitive footballing world, Peter invested heavily financially in many other ways through a variety of chairmen and regimes to help the Cards be the best we could be. Beyond that the thousands of hours PJ has given as a volunteer – particularly in match day operations and ground maintenance have been invaluable.
Words are limited and can only express so much – and more will be said in the coming months. However, we simply want to say a huge thank you to Peter and it is an honour for us to have him as our Honorary Vice President
