Woking FC Commercial Update

22nd July 2020

Woking FC Commercial Update 1) #GetBehindTheShirt campaign and Shirt deliveries:

The NHS 3rd kit shirts have arrived at the club and they will be dispatched by courier as soon as possible. The 2020/21 home and away shirts will be at the club the last week of July/first week of August and again will be dispatched as quickly as possible. If Government guidelines remain as they are we will be allowing fans to collect their shirts in person on a specified day between set times. The #GetBehindTheShirt packages had no shipping charges so if you are able to collect these that would save the club the courier fee. If you pre-ordered your shirt then this did have shipping charges however some fans have indicated they would be happy to collect their shirt(s) and ‘donate’ the shipping fee to the club which would be greatly appreciated. Either way we will make an announcement as to the allocated collection day and procedure.

2) 2020/21 season seat and car parking allocations:

We are hoping that seat allocation for next season can all be done through the ticketing website however this will not be released until the Board have finalised season ticketing and received advice from Government/the National League with regard to ground capacities. Car parking spaces will be available for next season at a cost of £195 + VAT. To register your interest for a space please email wfccommercial@wokingfc.co.uk with the words Car Park in the subject line.

3) Scoreboard:

Some of our more eagle-eyed fans will have seen a scoreboard is now in place at the Laithwaite Community Stadium. We know that the last few months have been difficult for many of our supporters and we would like to give something back. If you are a fan and own a local business, we would like to give you some free advertising on our new scoreboard. Please email Steve Knight, steve.knight@wokingfc.co.uk and we will let you know what we require in terms of logos etc. There are season long deals to advertise on the scoreboard and if you would be interested please email Steve for full details. We have had a couple of test runs with the new screen and it is essentially a large HD TV which can be viewed from the majority of the ground with crystal clear graphics.

4) Player Sponsorship:

Once again fans will be able to sponsor their favourite players however this year you will have the chance to sponsor their Home or Away kit (or both). Home kit sponsorship is £300 +VAT, Away kit sponsorship £250 +VAT, or £500 +VAT to sponsor both. Again, please register your interest in a particular player by emailing Steve Knight.

5) Cards' Card:

In an effort to speed up bar sales and reduce the amount of cash transactions we have introduced the Cards’ Card. It is a pre-pay card valid for use in the bar, credit can be topped up either in the bar or (preferably) in the shop. There is a small initial charge of £1.50 for the card and these will be available in the shop once we re-open.

6) Cardinals' Bar:

Talking of the bar we are hoping to open the Cardinals’ Bar for a few hours on a Friday evening. There are some final logistics that we need to work out but as soon as we have a date set an announcement will be made. Please note that numbers will be limited and reservations must be made in advance.

7) Bar Memorabilia:

You may have seen/heard that we have given the bar a facelift during lockdown and we are now trying to decorate the walls with shirts and memorabilia from the club’s archives and generous donations from fans. Unfortunately, there is an associated cost in doing this with regard the framing. If you would be interested in paying to frame a specific shirt or donate an item please contact Steve Knight. All donations for framing or of items will be recognised with a plaque on the framed item.
