On Saturday Dowse will be running 5K with Claire Browne to raise money for Halo Children's Foundation.
Claire writes:
"On Saturday 14th November we will be running 5K to raise funds for the wonderful Halo Childrens Foundation, who support children who have suffered an acute bereavement.
This is a charity close to both our hearts. Dowse and Woking FC have been great supporters of the charity for around three years. For Claire, the charity has helped her sons, Joel and Laurie when they lost their dad to cancer 4 years ago.
Halo has supported families in Woking, Surrey and London and is looking to reach more areas and grow as the need is sadly so great, this is especially more prevalent during the pandemic.
As Halo's fundraising has been hit hard by the pandemic, this virtual run is being organised to support the new bereavement cafe, a first of its kind in the UK. This had just opened its doors with great success, but will be returning after lockdown, so funds are desperately needed for this to happen.
We know times are tough and every penny counts at the moment so if you can donate something, no matter how small that would be AMAZING!
