Exciting opportunity to become a Finance Trustee for Cardinals in the Community

2:53pm, Wed 28th Apr 2021
Cardinals in the Community (CITC) is an independent charity closely linked to Woking Football Club. ‘Woking FC in the Community’ began in 2004 and has seen significant growth and won multiple national awards as a ground breaking community initiative linked to traditional sporting values. In 2019 ‘Cardinals in the Community’ was established as a stand-alone charity, existing to serve the people of Woking. CITC is overseen by a Board of Trustees bringing relevant experience and leadership to the Charity.

The Charity has three departments of Community, WFC Academy and the Centre of Excellence (Junior Academy). In addition, after many years hard work CITC will soon be moving into its new Community Hub of sports pavilion, offices and 3G pitch at Woking College. It is therefore an exciting time as ‘Cardinals in the Community’ looks to expand its reach of impacting thousands of local people.

At this time of growth CITC is looking to appoint a Finance Trustee to the Board to bring necessary volunteer support to the Charity. The new Trustee will have strategic financial experience in either a company or charity context and will oversee financial management, healthy financial procedures and budget setting. The Trustee would need to have reasonable time availability to give to the role and support staff.
