TORQUAY UTD 2 WOKING 0

12:00am, Sun 25th Nov 2007
The Cards slipped to a 2-0 defeat at a bitterly cold Plainmoor.

Gez Sole replaced Joe Gatting up front, Nick Gindre returned in goal and Adam Green continued at left back.

Woking competed well for the first 20 minutes but then a defensive mix-up from a long kick by the Gulls keeper allowed Elliot Benyon to prod home in the 22nd minute.

Seven minutes later Marvin Morgan was harshly shown a red card for a two-footed lunge, which, however, carried no threat to a Torquay player.

In the second half ten-man Woking were under the cosh and it was no surprise when Chris Hargreaves headed home at the far post in the 59th minute.

Jerome Maledon, Liam Marum and Joe Gatting came on before the end.

Full report from Natalie Kaye to follow.
