Woking Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former player and Club legend, Trevor Baron.
Trevor, a defender, signed for Woking in 1986 from Windsor & Eton – he made 359 appearances for the Cards and scored 57 goals, including one against Kidderminster Harriers in our famous FA Cup run in 1990/91. He started at the Hawthorns in the 4-2 victory against West Bromwich Albion, as well as being part of the XI at Goodison Park against Everton.
Trevor featured 62 times for Woking in 1991/92 and was ever-present in the league as the Club won promotion to top tier of non-league football for the first time under Geoff Chapple.
Trevor was held in the highest esteem by his teammates, colleagues and supporters and will be sorely missed. The Club will be honouring Trevor on Saturday ahead of the National League fixture against Eastleigh.
