Woking Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jack Stretton.
The 23-year old striker joins on loan from Sky Bet League One side Stockport County.
A product of the Derby County academy, Stretton made his debut for the Rams in 2020 after coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw against Wycombe Wanderers in the Championship.
He joined then-National League side Stockport County on an initial month loan in March 2021, scoring three in five games as County went unbeaten whilst he was there.
Back at Derby, Stretton scored his first goal for the Rams in a 2-1 defeat at Peterborough in August 2021, making nine league appearances in total that season, before being loaned to League Two Carlisle United in August 2022. He made 23 appearances for Carlisle before being recalled and sold permanently to Stockport in January 2023, where he would make 19 further appearances that season.
After missing the entire 2023-24 season with an ACL injury, Stretton returned to football in September, netting twice in just two minutes in a 4-1 win at Accrington in the EFL Trophy. A subsequent loan to Oldham Athletic saw him make just one appearance, being recalled and now joining Michael Doyle’s side.
